We are pleased to announce that last Tuesday December 3rd 2019 the General Assembly of the Spanish-Singaporean Chamber of Commerce was held and all the members had the opportunity to vote for a new Board of Directors.
There were 10 amazing candidates but only 7 could be elected and the final composition of the new Board is: Taiger, Banco Santander, Cepsa, AdGlow, CaixaBank, Cosentino and Jose Alberto Pascual, as an individual member.
The new Board Chairman is Sinuhé Arroyo (Taiger); the Vice-Chairman, Alberto Fruns (Banco Santander); the Treasurer, José María Solana (Cepsa); and the Secretary, Jose Alberto Pascual.
“It’s an honour to serve on the new board as President. SCC plays a key role in bridging Spain to South East Asia, and Singapore to LATAM. With this appointment, I look forward to work with my fellow board members to create stronger cross border and industry ties between Spain and Singapore”, Mr Arroyo said.
They are 7 members and 6 different industries represented: Technology, Banking, Energy, Architectural solutions, Advocacy and Marketing & Advertising. This is a great representation of the different type of members of the Chamber.
The meeting was welcomed by the Ambassador of Spain in Singapore, Mr Santiago Miralles, who has showed his support from the beginning, as well as Mr José María Blasco, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain, also present in the meeting. We would like to express our gratitude for all their help and support at any time, greatly appreciated.
And we wish all the best to the new team!
