Jose Alberto Pascual is currently a Managing Director and Legacy Franchises Senior Counsel for Citigroup in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) / Asia Pacific (APAC) Region, a position to which he was appointed in July of 2022. Before this assignment, Jose Alberto was responsible for the EMEA / APAC Region’s Consumer Legal matters.

He joined Citigroup as Spain Country Tax Officer in March of 1988 from Merck & Co. in Spain. Prior to this, he worked in the Tax and Legal department of KPMG in Madrid.

Jose Alberto graduated from the Jesuit University “Universidad Pontificia de Comillas” ICADE in Madrid, where he obtained a degree in Law and a Master’s postgraduate degree in Taxation. He joined the labor market after serving as a second lieutenant in the Spanish Air Force.
