ShopBack and LaLiga team up to remind Singaporeans that we are all ‘better together’…

Two football fans will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch a LaLiga match live in Spain once the situation allows.

Portraying the value of togetherness just as football brings people together, ShopBack, the region’s leading rewards and discovery platform, and LaLiga, The Spanish Professional Football League, today announced a partnership that brings to life ShopBack’s message of being ‘Better Together’.

Under the partnership agreement, ShopBack and LaLiga will commit to joint marketing amplification, which includes a video shoutout by LaLiga ambassador Gaizka Mendieta (former Spain international, Barcelona, and Valencia player), an official campaign video, in-app and website pushes, social media engagement, out-of-home advertisements, and giveaway contests. Apart from LaLiga Goodie Bags up for grabs, one deserving football fan will win an all expenses paid trip to Spain for two to catch a LaLiga match live.

The competition will run from 27 November to 31 December 2020, in line with ShopFest, ShopBack’s annual mega shopping festival that spans the entire year-end shopping season. LaLiga and ShopBack are not only looking for a winner that is excited about Spanish Football, but someone who truly champions the human spirit and connectedness needed to triumph over adversity.

“Alongside our fans, we long for the time when we can return to the stadiums and celebrate the passion of live football action of LaLiga in person. In this situation, together with ShopBack, we wish to remind our consumers that we are ‘better together’ despite being physically apart. With the pent-up demand to travel and experience live sports continuing to build, the grand prize is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we know would excite fans. When the winners take their seats at the stadium, they’ll experience alongside fans from all around the world, how catching a LaLiga match is truly ‘better together’, said Ivan Codina, LaLiga’s Managing Director for South East Asia, Japan, South Korea and Australia.

“We are excited to kick off this partnership with LaLiga to bring football fans and shoppers together. With the sporting world still gradually being reinstated to normalcy, the upcoming football matches in Spain promise to be that rush of adrenaline and the perfect opportunity to bring people together. We look forward to working with LaLiga and engaging with the clubs and its fans to get them back in high spirits—it feels like the right note on which to end a difficult and divisive year,” said Joel Leong, Co-founder, ShopBack.
